Wide Leg Pants

LOFT Wide Leg PantsLOFT Wide Leg PantLOFT Wide Leg Pant LOFT Wide Leg PantsIf you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen these wide leg pants awhile back on my stories. Since then, I’ve been wearing these every other week at the office. I welcomed time away from skinny jeans and tighter black pants with open arms as soon as I found these. Typically, I’m a petite in LOFT pants, but since these were meant to be a bit cropped, they worked out better than I imagined.

I will note that by the end of the day, these stretched a bit in the waist, so if you’re in between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down. I paired the pants with a sleeveless sweater that’s a few years old but I found an almost identical version. I actually like the cut on this version even more.

When I was at an agency, I dressed up jeans on a regular basis, but at my new job, I only wear jeans on Fridays. Some of my current work staples include the Sloan pant from Banana Republic, this pleated midi skirt from J.Crew (limited sizes, similar here), an old A-line J.Crew Skirt (here’s an almost identical version) and my drawstring and lace trousers from J.Crew (sadly both are sold out). However, as the warmer weather hopefully begins to stay, I’ll be swapping pants for skirts (I love this one and this one) and easy dresses and will share a few more everyday work wear outfits on the blog.

And if you’ve been looking for a great work tote, I love this faux leather scalloped option for under $50.

Shop the look: Ann Taylor Sweater (old, similar here) / LOFT Tie Waist Pants (I’m 5’2″ and wearing a 00R) / Sam Edelman Pumps (another work staple) / Louis Vuitton Speedy

  • Thank you all so much for the love this weekend. We are definitely still navigating life at home with a newborn but our hearts couldn’t be more full. And watching Bill as a Dad has me like 😍 all day long. We’re so grateful for our guardian angels watching over us as we start this new chapter. Right after the delivery, there was a knock at the door, and while I couldn’t see who was dropping something off, I heard the nurses say “Thank you, Rosie”. How’s that for a sign that my mom was with us the whole time?
  • Ainsley Rose surprised us with an early arrival last night, and we couldn’t be more in love 💗
  • Celebrating three years of marriage today (just short of 10 years together) and under a month until we’re a family a three. I’m having a moment over here ❤️ grateful for you every day, @williamritt. 📷 by @juneandjae
  • While I may have strained my back moving things around the nursery this week, this corner still makes my heart happy. My mom found the dressers we’re using on Craigslist when I was in college, and we gave them a quick facelift with some new paint and knobs. I remember telling her how great they’d look in a nursery one day. And because she and her friends had quite the inside joke about penguins, naturally I needed these adorable prints that we’ll get around to hanging one day (thanks, Auntie Al @allisonhaslee).
  • Going to bed feeling extra grateful after today’s baby shower for our sweet girl. We have the most incredible family and friends who have been more supportive than we ever could have imagined these last few months. Can’t believe we get to meet her in under two months 💗 http://liketk.it/2wWi5 #liketkit @liketoknow.it #tuckernucking #32weeks #ltkbump
