Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I’m feeling refreshed after a few days filled with quality family time. We had dinner with my in-laws and Bill’s extended family on Friday, saw the Book of Mormon with my family on Saturday and took a trip to my dad’s hometown yesterday to visit my grandma. And while we didn’t do anything for Halloween, I managed to eat plenty of chocolate all weekend long.

It started to cool down yesterday after a surprisingly warm day on Saturday so I layered my newest J.Crew pieces, including this gray plaid cape. Not only is it the perfect shade of gray, but it also has arm holes, making it easier to wear like a poncho. This red version would be great for the holidays. I have to admit that I wore this turtleneck three times last week – with skinny jeans, dress pants and a little black skirt – hoping that no one would notice it was the same sweater and continued to wear it throughout the weekend. I’m thinking I need to make the olive color mine, too. Stay tuned for how many times I can wear that one in a week.
