J.Crew Camel Sweater

J.Crew Camel SweaterIf you follow me on Snapchat (carly.haslee), you know that last week, I was a little bit excited to pull my beloved J.Crew camel sweater out of the closet for fall. Honestly, I would wear it every Wednesday of the year (#humpdayyy) if I thought it wouldn’t be overkill. It’s one of those pieces that just makes me really happy.

J.Crew Camel SweaterJ.Crew Demi-Boot Cut Jean J.Crew Camel Sweater (old, loving this fox sweater from J.Crew Factory) / J.Crew Billie Denim (on sale and last seen here) / Loeffler Randall Flats (old, lace up version here) / Madewell Sunglasses (under $50!)

I could talk about my love for this sweater for awhile, but let’s also chat about my new love for the Billie Demi-Boot Cut Jean from J.Crew. These were a bit out of my comfort zone, and I was hesitant to even try them on in-store at first. Since I’m petite (5’2″ to be exact), I was worried the cut would make my legs look even shorter. I tried them on in a regular so that they would hit  at my ankle, and I was pleasantly surprised with the fit. Not to mention, I also loved the wash and the subtle distressed hem. If you’re looking for another denim option besides your skinny jeans, I would highly recommend trying these!

  • It turns out Ainsley does not like to walk on the grass barefoot but does love the splash pad. Also, I think she aged another year this weekend 😭
  • Filling my feed with things that make my heart happy these days - these shelves are high on the list. In college and just after, I tried way too hard to follow trends. I’ve now fully embraced more sentimental pieces and love to mix and match old and new. Thankful that getting older has made me appreciate the little things even more.
  • Anyone else feel like they’ve lived two days all before 9 a.m.? We’ve watched two Toy Stories and have Secret Life of Pets 2 ready to watch, I put my chai in the microwave but never heated it up, we did a treasure hunt and had a very messy incident that involved Ainsley letting me know there was 💩 on the family room floor. My computer is in front of me in bed because breathing is getting harder at 35 weeks and this is all that’s comfortable right now. I’m sure my work calls are going to go very well this morning. Sending you all a virtual cheers and choosing to laugh off the crazy and be grateful for this healthy (but tired) family of mine 😘☕️ #honestmotherhood
  • Baby brother’s room progress is brightening up this rainy morning. I can’t wait to tell him I hung up the pictures myself 😉 And while the bookshelf is a work in progress, I’ve loved adding some of Uncle Kevy’s old cars and trains in his room. http://liketk.it/2P9ku #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKhome #LTKbaby #projectnursery #sharetheeverymom #fifthandroseathome
  • It’s 43° in Wisconsin so we went on Spring Break in our kitchen today. http://liketk.it/2OJp8 #liketkit @liketoknow.it #GapLove
