I don’t know about you but I’m sick of tights. I wear them about once a week with a little black dress and heels or an A-line skirt and booties, but that’s about all I can handle. I’ve been trying to wear more skirts and boots and over-the-knee boots paired with a cozy sweater so that I’m warm enough and comfortable throughout the day.
When it comes to pattern mixing, plaid and stripes are one of my favorite combinations. I have a few (read: too many) plaid scarves, but I promise they’re all different, just like my stripe tees. What can I say? We live in Wisconsin, and it’s cold for half the year. Plus, I tend to wear scarves to work as opposed to a statement necklace because usually the necklaces give me headaches (call me crazy, but they do). Plaid scarves are an easy way to add some more color to any look while also keeping you warm in those freezing cold work conference rooms.
I would dress this up a bit more for work by wearing a sweater or a button down. This top would be just as cute and a bit more work appropriate.
