Holiday Traditions + Sales I’m Shopping

Holiday Traditions + Sales I'm ShoppingI realize there are hundreds of posts at this point with gift guides and every single Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale on the internet. I don’t take it lightly that you still clicked through and are willing to scroll through my list. There are affiliate links throughout meaning I make a small commission if you choose to make a purchase after clicking one of the links below. I only recommend brands and products I truly love and it’s at no extra cost for you.

Before diving into sales and products, I thought I’d share what’s on our holiday tradition / experience list. While I love gift giving, I’m craving more and more experiences over things these days. So here’s what we’re up to these next few weeks:

  1. Breakfast with Santa
  2. The Nutcracker (I’m taking Ainsley for the first time!)
  3. North Pole Express in Essex, CT (we’ve heard nothing but amazing things)
  4. A Christmas Sweater party + cookie exchange
  5. Movies + hot chocolate (we’ve already done this twice)
  6. Holiday Paddle with Bill
  7. Girls night dinner in an igloo
  8. A holiday light show back in WI

One other update that I’ll be shipping copies of my book until December 16 and then will be pausing orders until the new year. You can shop the book here and if you have a special note you’d like included, add it in the ‘Notes’ section!

LAKE Pajamas (25% off)

I have a highlight saved here with all of my sizing info! I prefer to size up in the Pima cotton sets (for the kids and me!).

Chappy Wrap (20% off)

We love the original size for couch snuggles, and I layer one on my side of the bed. The minis are perfect for strollers and car seats. Ainsley is just starting to outgrow hers on the couch and in bed at night (at 4 years old) so I got her a midi this year.

Dudley Stephens (40% off)

I have both the Terry + Vello. If this were my first purchase, I’d get Terry if available. I stay true to size in an XS.

Shop Our Home (on sale)

I’m due for an updated home tour, but you can click through our Wisconsin post here and there are a few other posts saved here. Our bed is 40% off too!

What I Have and Love

If you’re looking for my top purchases from the year, I’d say my Naghedi tote (in a medium; I bought and returned the large because it was too oversized), lululemon belt bag (I heard they restock on Tuesdays??) and my beloved Cuisinart Air Fryer. I can rave about all of them for awhile.

Target sweater set (top and bottoms) is a back up contender.

An Owala water bottle would make a great stocking stuffer 😉  I got Bill the black one that he’s been using regularly.

What I’m Buying for the Kids

LEGO® DUPLO for Liam

LEGO® Ç€ Disney Encanto Sets for both kids (they’re obsessed).

Guitar for Ainsley

Karaoke microphone (I may live to regret this) – for both kids to share; they love a good kitchen performance

Flexible Highway Track for Liam

We celebrate St. Nick’s Day as well. I try to keep it easy and not overdo it so they’ll get Tonies, hot chocolate bombs, bandaids and matching pajamas.

Ideas I’m sharing with family: Encanto dress up costumes, anything puppy related that doesn’t involve a real puppy, art supplies, board games, bathrobes, new books (I haven’t bought any new ones in awhile), dance lessons or tumbling classes for next year

What’s on My List

I have a few extra cozy items on my list plus some entertaining items I realized we don’t have on hand. Oh, to be able to register for our wedding again. It’s been fun to see my style evolve though, and I love growing our collection of home items that serve our current needs.

I also use this as a time to try to stock up on skin care favorites or ask for gift cards to put towards a massage or mani/pedi.
